Historically, homeopathy has proven many times to be more effective
than allopathic medicine in the treatment and prevention of disease, with
risk of harmful side effects. In a U.S. cholera outbreak in 1849, allopathic
medicine saw a 48-60% death rate, while homeopathic hospitals had a documented
death rate of only 3%. Roughly similar statistics still hold true for cholera
today. Recent epidemiological studies show homeopathic remedies as equaling
or surpassing standard vaccinations in preventing disease. There are reports
in which populations that were treated homeopathically after exposure had
a 100% success rate-none of the treated caught the disease.
An
article published in the Journal of the American Institute of Homeopathy
in May 1921 states that Dean W.A.Pearson of Philadelphia collected 26,795
cases of influenza treated by homeopathic physicians with only a
mortality rate of 1.05%, while the average conventional medical approach
had a mortality rate of 30%. During the 1918 influenza pandemic there were
many Medical Doctors practicing homeopathic medicine throughout Europe
and in America, much to the chagrin of non-homeopathic doctors and pharmacists.
While conventional hospitals in the US had an 80-90% loss of life during
the scarlet fever, Cholera and Flu epidemics around 1919, Homeopathic Hospitals
had only a 2-5% loss. An article published in the Journal of the American
Institute of Homeopathy in May 1921 states that Dean W.A.Pearson of Philadelphia
collected 26,795 cases of influenza treated by homeopathic physicians

During the epidemic of yellow fever in the southern States in 18.78,
the allopaths treated 96,187 cases, of which 12,296 died; a death rate

of the same disease, of which 261 died; a death rate of 6.6. In many of
the southern States, by means of unjust medical legislation, the allopaths
have obtained sole control, and they refuse to permit homeopaths to practice.
This accounts for the great disparity in the numbers treated.
After 200 years, homeopathy is re-emerging as a major healing approach
during this era of a degenerative disease epidemic and theresurgence of
infectious disease epidemics in the form of mutated ‘supergerms’. This
is happening because it works. It works because it addresses the energetic
realities of health and healing. We are energy, and we can only be brought
into balance and wellness at our core levels by systems that recognize
and honor that fact.

Homeopathic remedies use minute amounts of substances to act as a trigger
to the body and stimulate its natural immune system. The immune system

The treatment of epidemic disease has long held a special place in homeopathy,
dating to Hahnemann's management of of the 1799 Königslutter scarlet
fever epidemic. Devotion is given to some of the peculiarities of casetaking
in epidemic disease in the Organon,

the other with Spigelia anthelmia, a remedy closely botanically-related

Gulf War Syndrome (GWS) causes many illnesses which are real and terrifying.

Towards the end of Louis Pasteur's life, he confessed that germs may
not be the cause of disease after all, but may simply be another symptom
of disease. He had come to realize that germs seem to lead to illness primarily
when the person's immune and defense system (what biologists call "host

own several homeopathic kits at home and I
keep one kit in the clove compartment of my car for emergencies. I find
the cost of the kits to be much more economical than individual bottles.
On average one homeopathic bottle in a kit cost about US$ 2.35 instead
of $9+ for a single individual bottle. I only use one to three tiny
little pellets as a dose when treating myself, my family or my pets. Unlike
allopathic medicine, the size and quantities of homeopathic pellets make
no difference in the therapeutic results. One pellet, the size of a grain
of sugar has the same therapeutic effect as a pellet the size of a pea.
Likewise, twenty pellets have the same therapeutic effect as one pellet.
Avoid exposing your remedies to direct sunlight and strong odors (cleaners,

Classical Homeopathy
Classical homeopathy rests on three principles: the law of similars,
the singlemedicine, and the minimumdose.
The law of similars states that a disease is cured by a medicine which
creates symptoms similar to those the patient is experiencing in a healthy
person.
Hence an important part of the prescription of a homeopathic medicine
is a lengthy interview to determine all the symptoms the patient
is experiencing. The homeopathic physician then determines which medicine
best matches the symptoms that the patient is experiencing and prescribes

The principle of the singleremedy states that a single
medicine should cover all the symptoms the patient is experiencing: mental,

remedy will be given to the patient in an appropriate potency and frequency
of repetition according to the homeopath's assessment of their need. After
a suitable interval the patient will return to see the homeopath to assess
the effect of the treatment and receive more treatment as and when appropriate.
The number of appointments, number of remedies and amount of treatment
will vary for each patient according to their condition and its severity.
What happens during
a visit to a homeopath?
"The first visit with a homeopath usually lasts
60-90 minutes. During the visit, the homeopath will review the patient's
medical history and attempt to elicit a full picture of the patient's symptoms
- mental, emotional, and physical. A homeopathic medicine will be chosen
to match the patient's unique constellation of symptoms. Sometimes the
practitioner will need to do even more research after the visit before
choosing the medicine. Scheduling of follow-up visits will vary depending
on the case and the practitioner's philosophy. intervals of four to six
weeks are not unusual. A follow-up visit typically lasts about 30 minutes."
Homeopathy
is an art and a science. At the hands of a skilled homeopathic practitioner
homeopathy can do miracles. I was introduced to homeopathy in 1981. At
the time I was overweight (185 lbs), suffered from chronic fatigue and
my health was steadily going down the drain. For years I had been a "junkie"--addicted
to prescription and over the counter drugs. For years I used corticosteroids
for eczema/psoriasis, and antibiotics for recurring throat and breast infections.
I also used nasal decongestions for chronic sinus congestion, and
other drugs for chronic backaches and other health problems. Unfortunately,
instead of generating a cure, the medications (including a course of
nine months of antibiotics) merely temporarily suppressed my symptoms,
weakened my immune system, and in the long run made me sicker. (side
effects of corticosteroids). The MD was considering a mastectomy for
stubborn cysts (hard lumps) in my breast.
During the initial homeopathic
consultation, the interview lasted 1 1/2 hour. My homeopath prescribed
a single remedy, in a single dose (2 to 4 pellets). My follow
up appointments were scheduled about every 2 months. He also prescribed
a change of diet to eating mostly raw food.
The results of the diet change
and homeopathic treatment were dramatic. In 6 weeks, the lumps in my breast
were completely gone (cause/prevention/natural
cures of breast cancer). In 12 weeks I had lost 60 pounds effortlessly
and never had to struggle again to keep my weight down. My energy level
and stamina improved dramatically. I was able to function better overall.
I became calmer, centered and focused, and generally I felt happier. My
overall resistance to infections became excellent, and I'm proud to say
that in the past 20 years I have not had a cold, flu, ear, throat, sinus
or breast infection or any other infections. I was amazed that even my
debilitating back pains responded to the homeopathic treatment and the
change of diet

Unfortunately, there are
a few incompetent practitioners out there. You can spot such practitioner
when they prescribe a bunch of different remedies at once. I know a lady
in Canada who was disappointed with homeopathy. She said it didn't work
for her. Her practitioner had prescribed hundreds of dollar worth of remedies.
That is a red flag. One standard bottle of a homeopathic remedy should
cost between $ 7 and $20 (US$) depending on the potency and the size of
the bottle. Usually in chronic medical condition no more than one
constitutional homeopathic remedy should be prescribed at a time, usually
in single dose of a hight potency.
In acute cases (trauma, sudden illness, pain, fever, ) a few different
remedies of low or high potencies may be called for until the condition
is resolved
Self medicating Some people attempt to self
medicate using homeopathic formulas for allegies, backache, earaches, etc.
which are available in pharmacies and health food store. These formulas
are made of a combination of homeopathic remedies. I advise against attempting
to self-medicating with these combo remedies or with single remedies, especially
in chronic or constitutional case if you are not familiar how to use homeopathy.
There are some excellent books about homeopathic self-care
which I highly recommend to learn how to self medicatae in case acute illness
or trauma and emergencies. As I mentioned above, homeopathy is an
art
and a science and in the hands of a skilled practitioner,
it can perform miracles
Hering’s
Law of Cure Constantine Hering was a German Homeopath who emigrated to the U.S.
in the 1830's. He observed that healing occurs in a consistent pattern.
He described this pattern in the form of three basic laws which homeopaths
can use to recognize that healing is occurring. This pattern has been recognized
by acupuncturists for hundreds of years and is also used by practitioners
of herbalism and other healing disciplines.
According to the first of Hering's laws, healing progresses from the
deepest part of the organism - the mental and emotional levels and the
vital organs - to the external parts, such as skin and extremities.
Hering's second law states that, as healing progresses, symptoms appear
and disappear in the reverse of their original chronological order of appearance.
Homeopaths have consistently observed that their patients re-experience
symptoms from past conditions.
According to Hering's third law, healing progresses from the upper
to the lower parts of the body. For instance, a person is considered to
be on the mend if the arthritic pain in his neck has decreased although
he now has pain in his finger joints.
As the symptoms change in accordance with Hering's Law, it is common
for individual symptoms to become worse than they had been before treatment.
If healing is truly in progress, the patient feels stronger and generally
better in spite of the aggravation. Before long, the symptoms of the aggravation

Arthritis is one area in which there are several studies which have

The case-taking is very important since it is the actual leader to a perfect

details of the patients. As we are aware that no two individuals are alike
so the treatment varies from individual to individual. The majority
